This “Dave Navarro is God” fan site began in 1997 but I can’t remember exactly how long ago it was that the domain was established for it. The title and domain have always been tongue in cheek. In the early days, I frantically scoured every possible source for a shred of news and posted it here. These days, it’s quite easy to keep up to date directly. Some personal things took over a couple years ago and I stopped updating the site frequently and then neglected it altogether. I woke up today with an overwhelming feeling to renew the domain name because it recently expired. However, it was too late. My negligence too great. I lost the rights to A day or two too late. Needless to say, it blows. I could’ve gone with but I can barely even utter the phrase. It’s not supposed to be so serious. The old domain without the hyphens it is then: It’s still too much to type but now it should be easier.

This was a chance for re-birth. The site no longer needs to have an outrageous name to entice visitors so it’s a chance to re-christen it. However, it still needs the name. The visitors are gone, again due to my negligence. I have attended some shows Dave has appeared in over the years, such as Camp Freddy and Jane’s Addiction, but I didn’t really report back on the web site immediately as I did in the past. Getting old and boring perhaps. But, I’m clawing my way back. I never get a chance to experiment with web design anymore. DNIG always provided an outlet for that. It’s time to get back in the game.

Over the years, I’ve met some incredible people thanks to this site. I’ve maintained a couple of friendships since the beginning. I’ve lost some as well. Let’s embark upon a new journey. What does the next phase of Jane’s Addiction hold? How different will Royal Machines be from Camp Freddy? When will that second solo album see the light of a studio? Will the Panic Channel reform for a few nights of shenanigans? Drop me a line if you wish. I’m curious to know who’s still out there.
